Court Officer Ronald Eugene Kienzle, aged 63, tragically lost his life on July 11, 2016, in Saint Joseph, Michigan. Kienzle was shot and killed by an inmate inside the Berrien County Courthouse. The incident occurred when the inmate, who was being escorted from his holding cell by a jail deputy, began to fight with the deputy.
