In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the life of Brice Carrington Jackson, a 27-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On September 14, 2016, Jackson was in an alley between Dorchester and Norwich avenues when he was shot. He was rushed to Mercy Health Saint Mary's Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.
