Ranita Cannon, a 26-year-old mother from Detroit, Michigan, was tragically killed on September 25, 2016. The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. on the eastbound James Couzens Freeway near West Eight Mile Road. Cannon was driving a burgundy 2008 Pontiac G5 with a male passenger when a dark-colored SUV pulled up alongside her vehicle and fired multiple shots into the car.
