On the evening of March 1, 2018, Shaun Gill, a 47-year-old male, was fatally shot at his residence in the Ports of Call Mobile Home park located in Geneva Township, just outside of South Haven, Michigan. Authorities were alerted to the incident by a woman present at the scene who dialed 911. Upon their arrival, Van Buren County Sheriff's deputies discovered Gill deceased near the front entrance of his home.
