In the summer of 2018, the city of Flint, Michigan, was the scene of a grim discovery that left a community searching for answers. On June 15th, authorities responded to a vehicle fire on the city's north side. Inside the burning car, they found the remains of two individuals, launching a double homicide investigation that continues to this day. One of the victims was identified as Tyler Pearson, a 23-year-old Black/African American male from Flint. The other victim was Gerlesa Williams.
