In the quiet city of Kalamazoo, Michigan, the life of 35-year-old Nikkole Shurree Riojas was tragically cut short on Friday, March 8, 2019. Officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to a call about a possible homicide at a home on Charles Avenue. Inside, they made a devastating discovery in a bedroom: Nikkole was deceased, having suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
