In the late hours of a June evening in 2019, the life of 34-year-old Detroit Police Sergeant Elaine Williams was tragically cut short in her Garden City, Michigan, home. On June 2nd, at approximately 11:45 p.m., police were called to her residence in the 200 block of Belton Street following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Williams inside, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.
