Shelly Rae Christian, also known as Shelly Rae Kephart, was reported missing from Minneapolis in October 1993 at the age of 29. Her disappearance remained a mystery until November 1994, when her skeletal remains were discovered by hunters in Wright Township, Michigan, nearly 600 miles away from her last known location. Shelly had been the victim of a homicide, but for many years, her identity remained unknown, and she was referred to by investigators as 'Matilda.'
