In the winter of 2021, the life of 33-year-old Melissa Nicole Murray, a female from Lansing, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On the night of February 1st, stretching into the early hours of February 2nd, a violent crime unfolded that would later shock the local community. Cory Dean Coddington, a 40-year-old man, entered a residence on Mahlon Street in Lansing where Melissa was present. Inside the house, Coddington allegedly shot her in the head with a long gun.
