On the evening of February 25, 2021, Carlesa Ley'na Taylor, an 18-year-old female, was fatally shot in a triple shooting on the west side of Detroit. Just hours before her life was tragically cut short, the talented high school senior had showcased her skills on the basketball court, scoring 27 points for Ecorse High School.
