On June 3, 2021, 30-year-old Kailey Walker and her husband, Virgil 'Larry' Walker, 49, were fatally shot in their Galesburg, Michigan, apartment. The couple, who had been married since 2011, were remembered by family as being deeply devoted to each other and enjoying simple pleasures like playing board games, biking, and spending time with family. Kailey, a 2009 graduate of Galesburg-Augusta High School, was described as selfless with a never-ending smile.
