In the summer of 2021, the life of 34-year-old Jesse James Byars was tragically cut short. On the morning of Sunday, July 11, his body was discovered in a field in Atlas Township, a community near Grand Blanc, Michigan. An investigation by the Genesee County Sheriff's Office soon revealed that Byars had been shot and killed. At the time of his death, Jesse, a male with a known passion for working on small engines and foreign cars, was living in Atlas Township, though he had ties to nearby Flint.
