In the quiet community of Covert, Michigan, the life of 43-year-old Levar Lee Coleman, a Black male, was tragically cut short on the evening of October 14, 2021. The incident that led to his untimely death unfolded at a Marathon gas station, where an argument escalated into fatal violence.
