In a quiet mobile home park in Burton, Michigan, the life of Scheryle Turkessha-Marie Fields, a 39-year-old Black woman, was tragically cut short. On the morning of July 26, 2022, police responded to a call of shots fired at the Creekwood Mobile Home Park. Upon arrival, they discovered Fields deceased inside her residence, the victim of fatal gunshot wounds in what was quickly determined to be a homicide.
