On a tragic Tuesday evening in Niles, Michigan, the life of 15-year-old Demi Mae Galvin was cut short. On September 20, 2022, Demi was at a friend's house on North 6th Street when a group of individuals approached the residence and opened fire. The shooting, which occurred around 11:37 p.m., resulted in the deaths of Demi and 18-year-old Yasmeen Scott. Three teenage boys were also injured in the incident.
