Edwin Glenn Bond, Jr., a 20-year-old officer with the Taylorsville Police Department in Mississippi, tragically lost his life on October 24, 1978. Officer Bond was on duty when he encountered a man involved in a domestic dispute at a local grocery store. After advising the man to go home and cool off, Officer Bond began to drive away.
