On the night of May 19, 2024, a tragic incident unfolded in the Hebron community of Jones County, Mississippi. Deputies responded to reports of gunfire at 62 Carter Dees Road around 10:14 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered 44-year-old Timmie Edward Carter from Taylorsville lying on the road near a red pickup truck, having succumbed to his injuries. An unidentified woman at the scene indicated that the suspected shooter was in a maroon four-door vehicle.
