In the late summer of 1993, the community of Columbia, Mississippi, was shaken by the tragic death of 18-year-old Kimberly Gay Rowell. On August 26, 1993, her body was discovered outside Columbia Primary School. An autopsy would later reveal that the young woman had sustained eight gunshot wounds from a 9mm handgun.
