Bertha Tardy, aged 59, was tragically murdered on July 16, 1996, at her business, Tardy Furniture Company, in Winona, Mississippi. Bertha, who had owned and operated the store since 1985, was found dead from a gunshot wound along with three of her employees: Carmen Rigby, 45, Robert Golden, 42, and Derrick Stewart, 16.
