Michael Dale Hisaw, a 27-year-old Deputy Sheriff and Juvenile Officer for the Prentiss County Sheriff's Department, tragically lost his life on March 11, 1999, in Prentiss County, Mississippi. Born on February 26, 1972, in Booneville, Hisaw had dedicated three years of service to the Sheriff's Office. On the day of his death, Deputy Hisaw responded to a 911 call reporting an armed man attempting a burglary at a residence on County Road 8401, located three miles northwest of Jumpertown.
