Edward Byrom Sr., aged 56, was found dead on June 4, 1999, in Tishomingo, Mississippi. His death was the result of a murder-for-hire plot orchestrated by his wife, Michelle Byrom. Edward Byrom Sr. was shot in his home with a Luger 9-millimeter pistol, a family heirloom from World War II. The investigation revealed that Michelle Byrom had conspired with her son, Edward Byrom Jr., and his friend, Joey Gillis, to carry out the murder.
