On December 26, 2014, the community of Purvis, Mississippi, was shaken by a violent incident that claimed the lives of two men. Demetries Miller Minor, a 34-year-old Black male, was found deceased alongside 23-year-old Brandon Nicholson. The discovery was made in an apartment where the two victims had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
