Lashon-Lofton Harris, aged 42, tragically lost her life on June 11, 2016, in Mendenhall, Mississippi. The circumstances surrounding her death were deeply distressing, as it was a case of domestic violence that escalated to a fatal encounter. On that fateful day, Lashon was shot and killed by her estranged husband in the parking lot of Greater Dry Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. Following the shooting, her husband turned the gun on himself, resulting in a murder-suicide.
