A promising life was tragically cut short in Baldwyn, Mississippi, leaving a community in mourning. Alexandra Caldwell, a 25-year-old woman, was killed on June 11, 2016, in a violent act that ended with the death of her suspected killer in a confrontation with law enforcement.
The series of events began to unfold in Prentiss County, where Caldwell was fatally shot. The investigation into her death quickly pointed to her ex-boyfriend as the primary suspect.
Authorities issued an alert for the man, identified as 27-year-old Lyndarius Cortez Witherspoon of Tupelo.
