Shaniqua Nicole Dawkins, a 24-year-old woman from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, tragically lost her life on July 20, 2016, in what has been identified as a murder-suicide. According to reports, Dawkins was visiting her boyfriend, Denzel C. Nash, also 24, in Monticello, Mississippi, when the incident occurred. Monticello Police Chief David Stanley stated that Nash fatally shot Dawkins with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun before turning the weapon on himself.
