On February 21, 2017, Kiearra Durr, aged 27, was found dead in her home in Toomsuba, Mississippi, along with her mother Edna Durr, 65, her sister Tomecca Pickett, 42, and her nephew Owen Pickett, 5. The tragic discovery was made by a Lauderdale County deputy sheriff conducting a welfare check. The victims were found shot to death, and Kiearra's 3-year-old child was found unharmed at the scene.
