In a quiet, upscale subdivision in Laurel, Mississippi, the life of 23-year-old Katherine Elizabeth Sinclair came to a tragic end. On the night of June 1, 2017, she was with her boyfriend, Gregory Burroughs, at his home. After an evening that included a stop at a restaurant and a gas station for beer, Sinclair was shot in the head in the garage of Burroughs' residence. She was rushed to Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, where she died the following day, on June 2, 2017.
