In the summer of 2017, the community of Lucedale, Mississippi, was shaken by the violent death of one of its own. Demetrius Pate, a 33-year-old male, was fatally shot on July 11, 2017. The incident, which was quickly classified as a homicide, prompted an investigation by local law enforcement.
