Death by Force

On January 4, 2024, Deputy Jeremy Malone, aged 44, was fatally shot during a traffic stop in Rocky Creek, Mississippi. Around 5:15 p.m., while conducting the stop on U.S. Route 98 near Brushy Creek Road, Deputy Malone approached a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Rickey Labaron Powell.
