On November 29, 2017, Bobby Gwin, a 25-year-old resident of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was found shot to death in a room at the Deluxe Inn on Broadway Drive. The Hattiesburg Police Department responded to the scene following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Gwin's body, which had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
