Ashanti Taylor, a 35-year-old resident of Jackson, Mississippi, was found dead on December 2, 2017. His body was discovered on South McRaven Road by neighbors around 4 p.m. on that Saturday. Taylor had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, including a fatal shot to the head. Neighbors reported hearing a single gunshot the previous night, but it remains unclear whether Taylor was shot at the location where his body was found or if he was transported there after being shot elsewhere.
