In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Magnolia, Mississippi, a burst of violence shattered the weekend calm and left a community in mourning. On January 15, 2017, Prentiss Jackson, a 45-year-old man, was fatally shot at the Sin City nightclub on Church Road in Pike County. The incident, which occurred around 2 a.m., also resulted in injuries to four other individuals. Jackson suffered multiple gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
