Investigator Thomas Wayne Daughdrill, aged 41, tragically lost his life on August 26, 1992, in Magnolia, Mississippi. He was serving as the Chief Investigator for the Pike County Sheriff's Office at the time of his death. The incident occurred while he was responding to a burglary in progress off Clark Street. During the response, an officer observed a 15-year-old boy carrying a shotgun and a pistol. When the officer attempted to stop the boy, he fled into a barn on West Myrtle Street.
