Anthony Finch Longino, a 62-year-old pastor, was tragically killed on January 13, 2019, in Jackson, Mississippi. Longino was opening the New Bethany Missionary Baptist Church for Sunday service when he was gunned down. His body was discovered just outside the church doors, sending shockwaves through the community. The motive for the shooting was initially believed to be robbery, as Longino's pickup truck was stolen during the incident.
