Dr. Phung Minh Le, a 28-year-old doctor, was tragically killed on February 16, 2019, during a hostage standoff in Clinton, Mississippi. Dr. Le, who was doing his residency in internal medicine at a hospital in Louisiana, was found shot to death along with three others inside a home after a 12-hour standoff.
