Shanees Saffore tragically lost her life on December 11, 2019, in Durant, Mississippi. According to Holmes County Sheriff Willie March, Shanees Saffore died from a single gunshot wound to the head. The incident was part of an apparent murder-suicide, with the shooter identified as James Wright. Wright, who was found dead on Castalion Road with a handgun beside him, had reportedly shot and killed Saffore before taking his own life.
