In the early morning hours of November 28, 2020, what was initially reported as a car accident in Gulfport, Mississippi, quickly turned into a double homicide investigation. Inside the vehicle, located on Westward Drive near Milner Stadium and Memorial Hospital, authorities discovered the bodies of 22-year-old Rashaud Fairley and 34-year-old Charles Earl Johnson, both residents of Gulfport.
Both men had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene by the Harrison
County Deputy Coroner. Gulfport Police arrived at the 1700 block of Westward Drive around 5:12 a.m. to find the two men inside the car. The investigation into their deaths is ongoing, and as of now, it is considered a cold case.
Authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or made any arrests in connection with the killings of Rashaud Fairley and Charles Johnson. The Gulfport Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the double homicide.
