Byron Burns, aged 37, tragically lost his life on January 24, 2021, in Jackson, Mississippi. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning near Bailey Avenue and Mayes Street. Burns was driven to a hospital by a private vehicle, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Jackson Police Department (JPD) identified the shooting as the eighth homicide in Jackson for the year 2021.
