Robert Earl Bracey, a 68-year-old Black man from the Jackson, Mississippi area, was found shot to death in the early morning hours of Monday, July 19, 2021, inside a small house on Big Creek Road just outside the city of Byram in Hinds County. Deputies from the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office were called to the address at about 4 a.m. and discovered him unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
