In the late summer of 2021, the community of Saucier, Mississippi, was shaken by the tragic death of Melinda Michelle Hester, a 52-year-old retired Harrison County Sheriff's Office employee. On August 27th, Hester was found deceased in her home, the victim of a fatal gunshot wound.
