A twenty-nine-year-old man, Jessie Johnson of Moss Point, Mississippi, was fatally shot on the evening of Saturday, February 19, 2022. The Pascagoula Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 8:20 p.m. in the 2600 block of Martin Street. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Johnson deceased at the scene.
Following the incident, the investigation was initiated by the Pascagoula Police Department.
The Jackson County Coroner, Bruce Lynd Jr., officially identified the victim as Jessie Johnson. An autopsy was scheduled to be performed to determine the precise cause of death. At the time, law enforcement officials announced that the investigation was in its early stages and ongoing.
