In the late summer of 2022, the life of 68-year-old Claude Eugene Bivins, Jr. was brought to a tragic and violent end in Pascagoula, Mississippi. On the evening of August 7th, Bivins was fatally wounded by gunfire, a loss that would soon lead to a swift police investigation and the apprehension of those believed to be responsible.
The day following the shooting, Pascagoula authorities announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with Bivins' death.
As the investigation progressed, a second individual was also taken into custody. In the days that followed, the legal proceedings began to unfold, with initial charges against one of the suspects being downgraded as the case moved forward. The community was left to mourn the loss of a man whose life was cut short by a sudden act of violence.
