On an otherwise ordinary Wednesday in Edmond, Oklahoma, the community was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 47-year-old Patty Jean Husband and thirteen others. On August 20, 1986, a disgruntled mail carrier, Patrick Sherrill, embarked on a deadly rampage at the Edmond Post Office, the workplace he was reportedly about to be dismissed from. This tragic event would later become known as the Edmond Post Office Massacre.
