On the evening of February 15, 2014, Andrea Hollis, a 27-year-old woman, was fatally shot in a drive-by incident in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. She was leaving the driveway of her home with her boyfriend, Keevin Dixson, and two friends, David Woods and Leslie Kent, when their vehicle was met with a barrage of gunfire. Two men, identified as Shane Pitts and Justin Moore, allegedly fired nearly a dozen rounds into the car.
The shooting was reportedly the culmination of a long-standing feud between
the suspects and the two other men in the car with Andrea, Woods and Dixson. While it is believed that Woods and Dixson were the intended targets of the attack, it was Andrea who was tragically struck and killed. Both Woods and Kent also sustained injuries during the assault. The suspects, who were known to the victims, fled the scene in a dark-colored GMC Sierra truck.
In the days following the shooting, a manhunt was initiated for Pitts and Moore. Justin Moore was apprehended a few days later and subsequently charged with conspiring to commit murder. Shane Pitts, however, remained at large for a period and was considered armed and dangerous by authorities. A search of Pitts' residence uncovered evidence connected to the case.
