On October 8, 2014, Samantha Rae Monden, a 30-year-old white female from the Noble–Lexington area of Oklahoma, was swept into a chaotic chain of events at an Oklahoma City motel that ended with her being shot to death beside Interstate 35. She had been born in Odessa, Texas, on February 28, 1984, raised around Noble and Lexington, and had trained and worked as a licensed practical nurse.
