In March of 2016, a young man's life was tragically cut short in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Evan Stout, a 19-year-old male, was discovered in a car in north Tulsa with a gunshot wound to his head on a Friday. He was transported to a local hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, March 13, 2016. The young man, known to some by the nickname 'Goofy,' was described as a loving person who had a passion for video games, music, and attending concerts.

The investigation into the shooting quickly focused on his girlfriend, Tiffany Wesley, who was 19 at the time. Authorities identified Wesley as the person who had shot her boyfriend before fleeing the scene on foot. The day after the shooting, Wesley surrendered to the police. She was initially arrested on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill.

Following Evan Stout's death, the charge against Tiffany Wesley was upgraded to second-degree murder. Court records indicate that Wesley was ultimately charged with first-degree manslaughter for killing Evan Stout with a. 38 Smith & Wesson revolver. In October 2016, she waived her right to a jury and non-jury trial and pleaded guilty.
