On a cold January evening in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, the life of 46-year-old Mohid Khandker, a man of Bangladeshi descent, was tragically cut short. On Sunday, January 22, 2017, Khandker was at his place of business, a gas station and convenience store located at the intersection of Main Street and Burnham Avenue, when a robbery turned fatal.
