The incident that led to his death was a shooting that also claimed the life of another man, Cory Todd, and left a third, Donte Todd, severely injured.

The subsequent investigation into the triple shooting revealed a grim tale of a planned revenge plot. Detectives uncovered evidence, including text messages, that pointed to the deliberate and retaliatory nature of the attack. The crime scene itself told a story of immense violence, with investigators finding 27 shell casings. The victims had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, indicating the brutal intent of their assailants. The primary orchestrator of the revenge plot, Isaiah Wilson, was ultimately convicted on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of shooting with intent to kill. His brother, Victor Wilson, was also implicated in the crime and was found guilty of the murders, receiving a life sentence for his role. The case didn't end there, as two women, Angela Bradford and Precious Thierry, were also arrested and faced charges of accessory to first-degree murder.
