In March of 2019, a heart-wrenching event unfolded in rural Payne County, Oklahoma, leading to the death of 1-year-old Bryndle Boyles. The tragic incident, which also claimed the life of her 5-year-old sister, Paislee Boyles, was determined to be a murder-suicide perpetrated by their father, Jackie Boyles Jr.
The grim discovery was made on the evening of March 19, 2019, after the Payne County Sheriff's Office was alerted by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office about a missing person.
Deputies were dispatched to a location near Highway 108 and 56th Street, where they found the vehicle of the missing individual. A subsequent search of the area led them to a scene behind a vacant mobile home where the bodies of Jackie Boyles Jr. and his two young daughters were found.
The state medical examiner later confirmed that both Bryndle and Paislee died from gunshot wounds to the head, and their deaths were ruled as homicides. Jackie Boyles Jr., 41, also died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and his death was ruled a suicide. The investigation into the incident was assisted by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Further investigation into Jackie Boyles Jr.'s past revealed a troubled history that included a criminal record. His prior convictions included stalking and drug possession, for which he had served time in prison. Court records also indicated a history of mental health struggles, including past suicide attempts.
