In a quiet, rural area north of Ripley, Oklahoma, the life of 5-year-old Paislee Boyles was tragically cut short on March 19, 2019. The young female was found deceased behind a vacant mobile home, the victim of a devastating murder-suicide. Alongside her was her 1-year-old sister, Bryndle Boyles, who had also been fatally shot. The grim discovery was made after the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office alerted the Payne County Sheriff's Office about a missing person, leading deputies to the location
on Highway 108 and 56th Street.
At the scene, law enforcement found the vehicle of the missing person, 41-year-old Jackie L. Boyles, Jr., the father of the two girls. His body was discovered outside the vehicle, while his daughters were inside. The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed that both Paislee and her younger sister died from gunshot wounds, and their deaths were ruled as homicides. Jackie Boyles also died from a gunshot wound, which was determined to be self-inflicted, and his death was ruled a suicide.
Further investigation into Jackie Boyles' background revealed a troubled past, including previous convictions for stalking and drug possession. Court records indicated that he had a history of mental health issues and had made prior suicide attempts. In the wake of the tragedy, it was reported that the girls' mother had been awarded temporary custody of them. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was called in to assist with the investigation into the heartbreaking event that claimed the lives of the two young sisters at the hands of their father.
